Abstract

U ovom završnom radu nalazi se prikaz izrade 3D modela te njegova primjena u napravljenoj verziji jednostavne video igre. Cilj je prikazati funkcionalnost i potencijal ovog područja grafičke industrije koja se primjenjuje u računalnim igrama, product designu, arhitekturi, automobilskoj industriji, marketingu i oglašavanju, filmovima pa sve do znanosti i medicine. 3D modeli izrađeni su u Cinema 4D softveru, a kasnija primjena istog modela u Unity Engine-u. O svakom korištenom programu prikazane su opće informacije i njihova povijest. Izrada 3D modela obuhvaćat će modeliranje, dodavanje materijala, rigging i animaciju, a kasnija primjena stvaranje okruženja i dodavanje funkcionalnih komponenta 3D modelu i game objektima u svrhu stvaranja jednostavnog gameplay-a. Također su objašnjeni osnovni pojmovi korištenih softvera (Cinema 4D i Unity Engine-a) zbog jasnijeg razumijevanja procesa izrade odnosno finalnog rezultata rada u njima. Osim prikaza izrade 3D modela i njegove primjene glavni cilj ovog projekta je savladavanje osnova oba programa te učenje kako raditi u njima. Neovisno o svakodnevnom razvoju 3D tehnologija i tehnologije općenito na odabir teme ovog završnog rada najviše je utjecala zainteresiranost za ovim područjem grafičke tehnologije kao i testiranje vlastitih mogućnosti i sposobnosti.

Abstract in english: This paper shows the process of making a 3D model and its purpose in a simple video game. The main goal is to demonstrate the potential of this field in the graphic industry which is used in product design, architecture, car industry, making of computer games, marketing, advertising, movies, science, medicine etc.. The 3D models are made in Cinema 4D and later on implemented in the Unity Engine. All the general information about the software that are being used in this paper, as well as their history will be shown. The making of the 3D model includes modeling, adding materials, rigging, animation and later on its use, creation of its environment, adding functional components to the 3D model and game objects with the purpose of creating simple gameplay. Basic terms in both used software (Cinema 4D and Unity Engine) will be explained for the sake of better understanding of the whole creation process. Apart from making the 3D model and its application the main goal of this project is mastering both programs. Regardless of the tremendous everyday development of 3D technology and technology in general, the main reason for choosing this topic was the interest for this field in graphics technology as well as testing my own capabilities.
