Abstract in english: Selfpromotion of young designers is presenting themselfs to the public in a positive light which shows their capabilities and creativity and exerpts them from the competition. The aim of this work is to show different ways of selfpromotion for graphic designers weather they are freelance designers or searching for a dream job in the advertising agency or design studio. There are numerous ways of selfpromotion - portfolio, capabilities brochure, poster, leaflet, etc and they are all described here in this work and followed with examples. When it comes to selfpromotion, creating distinction is the key. Promotions needs to be truly unique and thought provoking in order to catch the attention of the audience. In the age when electonic communication is prevalent contact strategies are very important. To make their promotions more personalized designers are producing small, targeted promotions which are more effective then mass mailings. Selfpromotion material does not have to be expensive to be effective, it can be sent through e-mail for free and still result in gaining new work. That is because the best selfpromotion is a good quality work. Still to be trully different creatives needs to rethink function, form and the use of alternative media. For every designer it is very important tho determine his identity before he begins working with clients or searching for a job so he can communicate his approach to design and business from the first contact with public.
