Abstract

Abstract in english: | Market demands and fierce competition, as well as commercial graphic production define more and more the trend for best quality products, and the development of the graphic technology in the last decade allows it. Today is the offset print technology the most standardized one due to its huge representation and the technology is so highly developed that graphic products can be made with great quality. The research about the dot gain deviation of the raster tone values has been conducted on sheets taken from 3000 prints edition in precisely defined intervals. The goal of the research was to note the dot gain deviation, i.e. the deviation of the dot gain from the average values which are the cause for the deterioration of print quality according to the principles and demands of quality standardization. Dot gain of the raster tone values, as well as the dimensions of it, provide for precise scan and quality level maintenance throughout the whole edition. The constant upgrading of the print system should be inclined at the values that show lower values of the raster tone dot gain. The obtained raster tone dot gain curves for all four colours during the edition are compared to raster tone dot gain values within the B category dot gain, which is also a recommendation here for the raster tone dot gain if we are to gain reproduction of high quality. The obtained dot gain results of 50% raster tone were used for the analyis of dot gain deviation on 50% raster tone, i.e. for the deviation of the average values in the absolute amount. Dot gain deviation results are also shown in diagrams for the purpose of visual comparison and concluding about the quality of prints in question. |
