Abstract

Restauriranje uključuje radove na stabiliziranju i povratu oštećenog gradiva što je moguće bliže izvornom stanju, ali to je složeno područje koje zahtijeva posebnu izvježbanost i znanje. Da bi se fotografija mogla na pravi način zaštititi i restaurirati, potrebno je dobro poznavanje tehnologije proizvodnje fotografskog materijala, njegove fizičke i kemijske osobine te ponašanje tijekom fotografskog postupka. Također je potrebno razmotriti utjecaj kemijskih, fizikalnih i bioloških čimbenika koji mogu utjecati na stabilnost fotografskog materijala. Svrha ovog rada je istražiti čimbenike koji mogu utjecati na trajnost fotografija te postupke njihove identifikacije sa ciljem upoznavanja svojstava neophodnih za razumijevanje restauracije i zaštite fotografija.

Abstract in english:	Photographic restoration includes stabilization and recovery of damaged material as closer as possible to the original material. However, photographic restoration presents complex field that requires special skills and knowledge. In order for photographic materials to be preserved and restored, understanding of photographic technologies, physical and chemical characteristics of photographic materials as well as photographic processes are of great importance. Chemical, physical and biological factors that could impact the stability of photographic material should also be considered. The purpose of this work is to explore factors that can impact permanence of photographic materials and their identification methods in order to understand properties necessary for photographic restoration and preservation.
