Abstract
Brošuru nazivamo i pamflet.

Abstract in english: | The graphic industry or the print media industry is considered to be one of the most important industries in the world economy, notably through its close connection with the marketing industry. Marketing uses graphic material as a mean of advertising, which enables usage and development of a whole range of (marketing/graphic) products that can be offered to the market. One of such products is the brochure. Brochure is also called a pamphlet. The name originates from the English word “pamphlet” meaning small work, which appeared in the 14th century and later indicated a little booklet or brochure. These booklets were often used for propaganda purposes during the English Civil War. This graduate work deals with visual components in brochure making as well as other elements of the brochure as a graphic product. It also analyzes the elements of marketing needed to be taken into account in preparing a brochure and doing prepress. The work introduces us to the phases of brochure development, from the standpoint of a graphic designer who has to shape this printed media in such a manner so as to attract and retain the attention of the person who will be the end user - the future client. It also covers all the visual elements necessary for the making of a brochure, describes the usage of typography and pictures and all the modalities in which they are applied, as well as the rules that have to be taken into account in shaping such a printed media. |
