Abstract
Računalna animacija lica je znanost koja se razvila zbog potrebe čovjeka da razumije svoje ponašanje, da otkrije tajnu velikog broja ekspresija koje je u stanju proizvesti. Iako istraživanje ljudskog lica kod interpersonalne komunikacije seže nekoliko stotina godina u prošlost, tek razvojem računalne tehnike otvara se mogućnost zabilježbe, detaljne analize i simulacije ekspresija lica. Jačanjem hardverskih performansi računalna animacija lica afirmira se na mnogim područjima znanosti i djelatnosti. Njezina primjena je mnogostruka, od istraživanja ljudskog lica u psihologiji pa sve do tradicionalne animacije. Primjenjuje se u svrhu komunikacije, obrazovanja, medicinskih i geoloških ispitivanja, zabave (video igre i filmovi), računalnih sučelja i dr. Razvijena su mnoga softverska rješenja koja omogućavaju animiranje ljudskog lica u trodimenzionalnom prostoru. Autodesk Maya je program široke primjene, najviše zastupljen u zabavnoj industriji kod razvoja animiranih filmova i računalnih igara. Upravo kod animacije lica pokazuje svoj širok spektar primjene i svoju snagu. Radom je pokazana povijest računalne animacije i njen utjecaj na animaciju tijela a pogotovo na animaciju lica kao njenog najkompleksnijeg dijela. Prikazan je postupak izrade trodimenzionalnog ljudskog lica; postupka modeliranja, izrada tekstura, izrada kostura, pa sve do animacije najčešćih ljudskih emocija. Kao alat za izradu trodimenzionalnog modela lica i njegovu animaciju korišten je program Audotesk Maya.

Abstract in english: | Computer facial animation is a science that has developed because of human need to understand their behavior and discover the secret of a large number of expressions that they are able to produce. Although research of the human face regarding interpersonal communication has a several hundred year old tradition, not until the development of computer technology did the possibility of notification, detailed analysis and simulation of facial expression emerge. With the development of hardware performance, computer facial animation has affirmed its place in many areas of science and business. Its is widely applied, from human face research in psychology all the way to traditional animation. It is used in communication, education, medical and geological research, entertainment (video games and movies), computer interface, etc. Many software solutions which enable human face animation in three-dimensional space have been developed. Autodesk Maya is a program of wide application, but it is mostly used in the entertainment industry in the development of animated films and computer games. It is facial animation that enables it to display its wide range of application and power. This paper presents the process of creating three-dimensional human face; the process of modeling, texture creation, creation of the skeleton, and animations of most common human emotions. Autodesk Maya was used as a tool for the three-dimensional human face model development and its animation. |
