Abstract
U 21. stoljecu reprodukc¼a slikovnih informac¼a ukljucuje nove digitalne tehnolog¼e tiska i znacajno unapr¼e�enje konvencionalnih tehnika, cemu je najviše doprinjela automatizac ¼a, kompjuterizac¼a i digitalizac¼a gotovo svih procesa u grafickoj industr¼i. Ipak, željena reprodukc¼a boja se jedino može postici razumjevanjem osnova ljudske vizualne percepc¼e i implementac¼om njihovih zakonitosti u reprodukc¼ski t¼ek boja. Jedan od oblika takve implementac¼e je i gamut boja, koji je u osnovi definiran kao raspon moguce ostvarivih boja danog sustava. Iako postoji mnogo faktora koji utjecu na velicinu i oblik gamuta boja, tiskovna podloga je jedan od važn¼ih. U ovom istraživanju su se usporedili gamuti boja sa šest razlicitih vrsta papira, tri premazana i tri nepremazana, otisnutih na xerografiji i ink-jet tehnici. Iz rezultata se može zakljuciti da gamuti boja dobiveni pomocu ink-jet tehnolog¼e više variraju u velicini i obliku, tj. ink-jet je više ovisan o tiskovnoj podlozi.

Abstract in english: | The reproduction of pictorial information in the twenty-first century involves new digital printing technologies and significant improvement of conventional technics, which is mostly contributed by automatization, computerization and digitalization of all processes in graphic industry. However, the desired color reproduction can only be achieved by understanding the fundamentals of human visual perception and by implementation of their principles in the color reproduction flow. One form of such implementation is color gamut, which is essentially defined as a range of achievable colors, for a given system. Although there are many factors that influence the size and shape of color gamut, the printing substrate is one of high importance. In this research, color gamuts are compared from six different types of paper, three coated and three uncoated, printed with xerography and ink-jet technics. It can be seen from results that color gamuts achieved with ink-jet technology are more varying in size and shape then those achieved on xerography, i.e. ink-jet is more dependent on the printing substrate. |
