Abstract

Abstract in english: Offset printing is classified as indirect techniques of printing. This technique is used for almost all print products. Printing surface is mostly paper, semi-cardboard, cardboard and tin. Graphic production is very well defined by rules that regulate the quality of offset printing. Standardization of offset printing can be enabled when the conditions of system compatibility within parts production are met, as well as technical and technological capacities of prescribed performance standards. Standards in the printing profession are regulated by international recommendations which can be defined as ISO standards or recommendations of certain scientific and research institutions. Quality control in printing is performed both visually and by measurement because of the human eye “handicap”. In this thesis, the offset is elaborated from the sole development to colors for printing and resources for dampening, as well as the offset machine and its parts. Major items such as standardization and raster reproduction have been elaborated, with special attention to printing quality control. The experimental part of the thesis, based on measurements of prints, has brought to attention particular findings and conclusions regarding subjective and objective quality of achromatic tones in the press. The analysis was conducted on a sample of 10 males and 10 females. The conclusion is that, according to the measurement, men perceive achromatic tones more realistically and accurately than women.
