Abstract

Dokumentarna i novinska fotografija od samih početaka fotografije igraju važnu ulogu kao osnovni stilovi koji su odredili njezin put. Tehnološki napredak usporedno utječe na njihov razvoj, ali ih i razdvaja. Ipak, njihove su razlike malene i dan danas teško prepoznatljive. Težnja ovog diplomskog rada je objasniti dokumentarnu i novinsku fotografiju kao važnije fotografske stilove, opisati njihovu povijest i razvoj kroz vrijeme, njihove sličnosti i razlike te današnju poziciju u društvu.

Abstract in english:	From the beginnings of photography, documentary photography and photojournalism have played an important role as essential photographic styles which determined its course. Technological advances have at the same time influenced their development and also made distinctions between them. Nevertheless, the differences are slight and even to this day hardly recognisable. The aim of this thesis is to explaine documentary photography and photojournalism as well as major photographic styles, discribe their historical development, their similarities and differencies and their current role in society.
