Abstract

Abstract in english: | Using software tools to support environmentally sustainable design implies a fundamental understanding of the concept of sustainable development, industrial ecology, and basic methods of assessing environmental loads. Methods such as eco-indicator, carbon footprint, and life cycle assessment are basic prerequisites for using the software eco-tools. A multidisciplinary approach combines the methods by which it’s possible to reach results which helps to adapt an existing product or make design decisions for a new product. This paper deals with SimaPro, Eco-it and Gabi software eco-tools. |
