Abstract

Abstract in english: The die-cutter uses tools and pressure to cut various forms of covers for boxes and similar unusual shapes, which cannot be designed and mass produced on a high-speed cutter, rotary cutter or three-knife trimmer. The cutting is done with a die-cutting tool applied to a special, mostly flat cutting plate (table). The release rubber ejects the cutting from the cutting plate. This process can be automatic or, as in older cutters, manual. Paper, cardboard and pasteboard can be thus treated in various ways. In this way special complicated shapes are made, perforated, embossed, etc. Cutters may be straight or bent knives and various sorts of templates. This paper will explore the differences in the construction and working principles of two cutting machines: - automatic platen die-cutter with automatic stripping - vertical die-cutter. It will be examined which machine is more profitable for what kind of product. There is currently a great need on the market for products made with these machines. Also, there will be an increased need for packaging, so that this practical analysis of various construction solutions can only contribute to a higher availability of this finishing process.
