Abstract

Abstract in english: | The first part of the thesis describes the development of street photography, as a successor of documentary photography and photojournalism, which has thro-ughout two centuries, documented and commented on life features, symptoms, questions and answers of a certain society and community and the street itself. Street photography involves people, architecture, events, parks, beaches and shops and uses two opposite methods of straight phtography. One of which is showing a clear vision of something with a pinch of irony and/or humour, and which is focused on a single human moment, the photographer's „decisive mo-ment“, and the other one tries to display street motifs more objectively. The tec-hnological performance of this discipline can be satisfied by an array of photog-raphic equipment, from telephoto and wide angle lenses to standard size len-ses. The importance of technological development and the possibillities provi-ded by the small format camera have been pointed out, as well as the the most important photographers of that genre. The second part presents practical origi-nal work through ten street photographs in colour and analyzes their compositi-on and artistic goal. |
